Good luck trying to view anything out of this. Was able to only see color and no details. My viewfinder was even full of bubbles, in the lens. Cheap. It does not magnify as it should. Piece of junk. I guess in this case, you get what you pay for, a cute looking toy and a paperweight. I wouldnt get a child this product either, because you cant use it for what its intended, you cant see anything! So no one would be learning anything. This is the second cheapy microscope we bought to see things with the kids and both microscopes are pieces of junk and don't work as they should at all. Spend a little more and get another one.

I PURCHASED THIS MICROSCOPE AS A GIFT FOR MY TEN YEAR OLD NEPHEW. WITHIN ONE HOUR OF RECEIVING IT, I WAS ON THE WAY TO THE POST OFFICE TO RETURN IT. HAVING USED A SCOPE IN HIGH SCHOOL AND IN COLLEGE I WAS MORE THAN DISAPPOINTED IN THIS PRODUCT. THE BASE OF THE SCOPE WAS DAMAGED, THE SLIDES SHOWED NOTHING BUT DIRT, VIEWING WAS IMPOSSIBLE AT ANY MAGNIFICATION AND FOCUS WAS NON-EXISTANT. I THOUGHT THE QUALITY WAS VERY POOR AND CHEAPLY CONSTRUCTED. I'M GLAD I EXAMINED IT BEFORE I GAVE IT TO A YOUNGSTER AS A GIFT. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

It is a nice microscope kit, but it seems to be made for young people. However, I can fit a normal size glass side into the microscope viewer, and it have some equipment that I did not receive in previous sets, such as test tubes, slide slicer, and gladuated cylinder.
Nevertheless, I think that the microscope set can be used for adults as well.

It works. The first light bulb blew out, but I read that it could happen like that before I decided to purchase it. Seems to work pretty good but I didn't expect too much since it is a cheap one.
